Invitation: hosted by Dr.
Chanda Kale
Date: 8th June, 2010
Time: 08.30 am to 4.30 pm EST
At La Quinta Inn: Plaza A
Fee: $275.00
Dr.
Richard Conlin taught me
orthodontics and now he will be in New
York as
our guest speaker and he will be
sharing with us his thoughts on how
to "put it all together"! He is
going to show you and tell you how
he thinks about his cases and how to
think through them.For those who
don't know him, he was one of the
handful few, who made it their
business to bring orthodontics to
general dentists. He maintained an
active orthodontic practice in Pittsburghand
started teaching "Orthodontics in
Your Practice" to GP's. The course
later evolved into Light Force
America and at one time he held
course in Pittsburgh, New York and
Palm Beach. He has retired for the
past 2 years and has moved to Florida however,
he continues to teach his course in
Palm Beach. He is also maintaining
tradition of having a Spring
Refresher in Pittsburgh. I was his
co-instructor before he retired and
I took over the course in New York.
In New York alone, Orthodontic
Course is making it's 20th year.
LDOM: Light Differential Orthodontic
Mechanics has evolved over years and
has changed with time
by accommodating different looks
such as Begg, Tip-Edge, Coralex and
Tip-Edge Plus and also with
invention of different
materials such
as ultra flexible archwires (NiTi),
crimpable hooks, composite brackets
etc. Several clinicians such as Dr.
Begg, Dr. Harold Kesling, Dr. Peter
Kesling, Dr. Harry Green and Dr.
Richard Conlin were instrumental in
changing it's stages and actual
mechanics. I am trying to make a
difference by making diagnostics an
integral part of working mechanics
via digital cephalometry and space
analysis.
I think, it is good to hear what
someone else has to say and we heard
Dr. Karandikar last year and this
year we have Dr. Richard Conlin. He
is no other but literally a pioneer
in Light Forces that stuck around
for so many years to make a
difference for us GP's. And he has a
wealth of information to share.
So please register early. Besides
Study Group members, I want all 1st
year and 2nd year Clinical
Orthodotnic participants to attend
this extra session.
Registration deadline: June 1st,
